Spike in blood pressure 4 days after delivery?

My blood pressure during the hospital stay was perfectly normal. In the low 120s. Now 4 days post partum I’ve been getting readings like 140/90, 159/80. And I’m concerned. I know I need to call my doctor but I would like to know has anyone experienced similar and what was your experience like? Is this a common occurrence?
