I have such a chill baby
I read so many horror stories on Reddit prior to giving birth and I was prepared (or so I liked to think) for the worst.
But honestly don’t freak yourselves out because I have such a chill baby. Like he only cries when he’s hungry or cold from being changed, and never screams or wails. Stops crying the moment I pick him up. Just chills in the bassinet if he’s not sleeping. Sleeps 3-4 hours at a time.
Right now I’m making dinner so I put him in the bassinet and brought it to the kitchen and he’s just chilling there flopping his arms and legs around while I cook. Occasional cooing. Last night I put him in the bassinet at 12:15am to sleep, he woke me up at 5:15am, and then woke my husband up at 10:30am. I literally only got up once after 5 hours and then slept til 12pm. We’re combo feeding and I’m pumping so I know that helps obviously, I do 2oz of breastmilk and 2oz of formula in a bottle and he crushes it, sometimes wants another oz lol he’s gained his birth weight by his first week too, but like I am just so lucky.
Mind you he’s almost only 3 weeks old, but this has been decent this entire time. I’m preparing for the worst with the teething and sleep regression etc, I know it won’t last forever. But for now, he’s a super chill baby and I’m really lucky. It’s not always bad and I hear that we only hear horror stories so I wanted to post something positive for once.
