First frost - will I be too late?

I plan to have my first go at foraging in the coming weeks. I just don't think I'll have a chance to to where I need to go (in Dublin, no car) for a few weeks - it might be late November by the time I get going. Just wondering can you use the conditions now as a rough guide for what it might be like by then?
