Favorite strats

Made a post yesterday saying I’m an old player and don’t know the new meta haven’t played in years and I’m coming back. What are the funnest most viable tower combos and strats? Curious to see what you all are running. Also I am scared to use the mortar tower for some reason it just seems unreliable to pop is that in my head??
