Bro why are middle school girls so mean?

A couple days ago a girl from the lunch table next to mine came up to me and told me her friend liked me, and she pointed at her. She was really cute so I was like bet. So I walked back with the girls friend to their table and went up to her and told her what happened and asked for her number. And they all literally started pointing and laughing at me like they do in movies and yelling "He's trying to act nonchalant!" and now they stare at me and giggle whenever any of them see me in the hallway bro. I've had my guard up ever since. It's safe to say I had my earbuds in listening to Panic! At the Disco and Green Day on that bus ride home.
