The nightclub next to my house is playing loud music up until 3am every night. I'm losing my mind because I can't sleep.

It was even mentioned on the rental contract. The lady at the counter said I have to be informed by law that there is a nightclub in the same building. I was prepared for some music, but not this. It is too much and makes the place unlivable. I called the police one night for a noise complaint, they came, they noticed how much the music was impacting my apartment at 1am, they said they didn't have the measuring tools on them but will notice the police section that handles noise matters to check the club is not breaking the law.

I feel like I'm gonna lose my job because of this, I do a job that requires a lot of focus, I need to be rested in the morning. I'm on a B permit, that means I lose my chance of being here.

Any advice on what I can do about it? I do not want to have a lease takeover and screw someone else like it just happened to me.

Thinking of paying for legal advice. I understand that it was mentioned on the contract and I should have been aware, but this place is not fit for someone to live in.

Is a clause on a contract enough to build a clearly non soundproofed apartment just right by a noise source and coerce someone to live there?
