Is the area near Neukölln station safe for travelers?

I’m visiting Germany for the first time and I just booked an Airbnb that is right across the street from the Neukölln station on Saalestraße.

I was reading the reviews on the train station and noticed a lot of comments about pickpockets and homeless people.

Me (29 Female) and my younger sister will be using this station to get around. I’m debating if I should cancel my reservation due to these comments.

Before I go through with the cancellation I wanted to get the opinion of people who live here or use this station often. Do you guys think it’s safe?
