Any reliable app for reading news headlines?

Okay, so I am not much of a newspaper reader but I just prefer going through the headlines and a little bit of content related to it. There are many apps like Inshorts, The Hindu, Economic times etc. They have bad ratings on playstore.

Can you please suggest me some good apps? More like I can keep it as a widget on my Home Screen, so I can rummage through it the first thing in the morning.
