Why are prices so high in Bukit Canberra Hawker Centre?
Tried out this new hawker centre recently and was surprised to see that the prices were almost the same as those at nearby food courts. I’ve always assumed that since NEA rents are much lower than food courts, hawker prices would also be noticeably cheaper, as we usually see in other hawker centres. Aren’t these hawker stalls also subsidised with our tax money? So what’s going on here, why are the prices still so high?
