"You recently changed your passcode. Enter your new passcode to unlock iPhone." - Message appeared on lockscreen, but didn't change passcode and old passcode worked.
I just received the message "You recently changed your passcode. Enter your new passcode to unlock iPhone."
iPhone 12 w/ iOS 17.2.1 (fresh install a few days ago)
- Phone was at 15% -> plugged it in
- While charging, received 3 text messages that I viewed on my Apple Watch (not sure if this is relevant)
- Received a notification that my phone charged to 90% (This is a simple automation I set up myself using native shortcut actions)
- Unplugged phone and tried to unlock w/ FaceID -> got the message
- Put in my passcode that I've been using since I got my iPhone 12 (3 years ago) and it unlocked
Note: The phone was sitting next to me the entire time and no one changed the passcode.
I think this is the 2nd time I've seen this since upgrading/fresh installing iOS 17.2.1. But I feel like iOS 17.2.1 has been extremely buggy. Here is another post I made about some AirPods weirdness that I'm chalking up to a bug after a fresh install didn't remedy.
I've had 0 issues with the phone until updating to 17.2.1. Only other changes have been starting to use a MagSafe (3rd Party Brand). The iPhone works completely fine/normal, otherwise.
I tried searching the message and have found 0 results. Anyone have any ideas?
