Parchment paper or silicone?

Hello. I just got an air fryer for xmas and I want to cook my food on something so the bottom piece does not get ruined over time. Which is better, silicone or parchment? Does the silicone give off a bad smell? Also any other accessories I should purchase. It's a 6 quart instant pit vortex.
