Vyvanse no longer covered by insurance 🙃

Title Edit: Vyvanse no longer covered by my insurance

Healthcare in America is so frustrating.

It took me (30F) months to get an appointment for an ADHD evaluation. Once I got it (on the brink of 30, no less), I felt like a weight has lifted off my shoulders. I was prescribed Vyvanse, and it took about 3 months to find the right dosage, but I finally did and felt more hopeful than before.

Now I got a letter from my insurance that they’ve changed the formulary and Vyvanse is no longer covered — after i finally settled in. It would cause $470/month without insurance! Now I feel frustrated that I have to start over in a sense.

Due to a Med mixup, I’ve been off the meds for 2 weeks and it’s been a struggle. Now this on top of everything else. Already reached out to my psychiatrist to find an alternative, but just wanted to vent. This sucks - Vyvanse really worked for me and I didn’t want to change. :(
