What bands did you first hear through ‘Beavis and Butthead’?

‘Beavis and Butthead’ should get a ton of credit for expanding the musical taste of a hunch of us! The duo either watched metal and rock videos that MTV either quit playing years earlier, or only played late at night on Headbangers Ball when I was already asleep. They also watched a ton of old 80’s pop videos, most of which I was too young to actually remember when they originally came out, so it was like seeing them for the first time. Even just sticking with metal/industrial genres, I can say for sure that watching B&B was the first time I heard of the following artist:

1. Motörhead ‘No Voices in the Sky’
2. Pantera ‘This Love’
3. NIN ‘Head like a Hole’
4. Danzig ‘Mother’
5. Black Sabbath ‘Iron Man’
6. Megadeath ‘Symphony of Destruction’
7. Korn ‘Blind’
8. White Zombie ‘Black Sunshine’
9. Ministry ‘N.W.O.’
10. And of course, the legendary Grim Reaper ‘See You In Hell’
