[Daniel Wellington] DW Watches are garbage and they Don't Honor their warranty

So first, I have to preface this by saying I am not a watch person. I wear a watch only when I am traveling (which I do a lot) but I don't really care about watches (Sorry). I have used the same cheapy $30 fashion watch for about 17 years, every time I travel.

While I was in a fairly small town in Europe in June 2022, my watch got tragically destroyed and I went to their local "big fashion store" (like Macy's in the US) to try and replace it. I did not like any of the watches that they had, except for a solid black Daniel Wellington watch.

At the time, I had no idea that Daniel Wellington was influencer garbage, I just thought "Solid black watch, will go with whatever", and I bought it. I wore it for the remainder of that trip (about four weeks) and then put it away. Recently in January I took another trip. I brought the watch. As I was walking around, I realized that my watch was missing off of my wrist. Because of the way I carry my handbag, I found that when the watch broke it had fallen into the bag, and I was able to see that the damage was that the little "arm" that is on the watch face that the bracelet links connect to, had snapped clean off. There was no damage, I hadn't "hit" anything, I hadn't banged my wrist on anything. The watch "arm" (sorry I don't know what it's called) had simply ... broken. The watch is now unusable. There's nothing to attach the watch band TO.

This was clearly a manufacturer defect, the "arm" should not have just ... broken. I reached out to DW under there 24 month warranty. They are refusing to fix it. Just a head's up, that DW does not uphold their warranty. I have even outlined to them the things that aren't covered by their warranty and explained how none of it applies. It was a ceramic watch, and the ceramics were clearly defective.

Anyway, I'm sure people already know this, but if you don't: Avoid Daniel Wellington. They are crap and they do not uphold their warranties.
