Kalalau Trail Support Please!
My partner and I are backpacking the Kalalau trail from April 5-7th, needless to say we are beyond excited. We are both in moderate shape-ski almost every weekend, hike at least a mile up the butte by our house, etc. We are both experienced backpackers as well and have the appropriate gear. We have been researching the trail extensively and for the most part I am feeling good, but as the trip approaches I’m finding myself with a fear of the sketchier parts along the trail. I stay calm in chaos / high stress, but really want to make sure I have mentally prepared myself, and not completely psych / freak myself out! Any words of wisdom, suggestions or positivity is greatly appreciated 🤘🏻❤️
