need opinions

so basically i am in grade 12th with pcb as subjects and from grade 7th or 8th (can't remember) i've wanted to become a vet. now due to some personal reasons i fucked up my grade 12th and now i will be taking a drop year for neet 2026 (i am not bad at academics). my parents and almost everyone in my family is saying that i should try for mbbs first and then if i don't get mbbs, i can pursue veterinary sciences. but i think it would be much easier for me to prepare for neet if i had one goal fixed. i am open to know about new perspectives.
