those who cleared prelims, how to tackle sci and tech!

this question has been repeatedly asked here but i still couldn't find a satisfactory answer. it seems to me like yall read sci and tech to feel good that you've covered the topic but the questions being asked in prelims are totally random. with all this randomness, can anyone actually share their strategy for this subject that actually worked!! otherwise can we just leave it and hope reading newspaper pays off?
