Need some honest suggestions regarding my decision to go ahead with UPSC and resources

A quick background of mine… I am a Chartered accountant working in an international bank…Earning healthy 30% income tax package and with no much of work stress in office. From Reddy (OC ) background and aged 27…so I have only 4 more attempts given am intending to give my first in 2026 and am planning to give only 2 genuine hard attempts…

I have given CAT multiple times and I feel fortunate not to get into IIM ABC’s, I have my interviews and conversions in L and K but I am not convinced to leave everything and go ahead with these colleges right now….off late From December 2024, I was thinking to spare the time I decided to spend at IIM in UPSC preparation..

Getting into IIM’s is a plan of escape for me to enjoy for 2 years and figure out myself in this process but right now that plan of escape has slowly vanished in my mind…

Becoming IAS has been my dream since my class 8 and I couldn’t find myself getting satisfied in doing these jobs sitting infront of systems… the moto for me to pursue this path is that I can get rid off working infront of systems and work in social fonts where I find myself …

I don’t have any sources who can guide me with valuable insights …I am thinking to work atleast till December 2025 and study parallely for 4-5 hours a day so that my family can comfortably navigate through even if hard work and luck doesn’t pay back..

Can anyone please suggest some good advices as to how to proceed with preparation…As of now I have ordered laxmikanth for polity and bought NCERTS class 6-12 for polity just to start doing it somewhere instead of consuming all the online stuff and going through the unlimited toppers interviews…

I am confused whether to take some online classes as it can give atleast some path towards the process instead of unlimited scrolling and versions ….

Am staying in Bangalore and planning to buy some online coaching, please suggest as appropriate

Regarding my study discipline… During my CA inter days I used to study for 12+ hours consistently for 5 months and CA final day I followed the same process with few days even studying for 15/16 hours, even during this post CA qualification I was studying alongside job atleast for 3/4 hours consistently…

Right now, I honestly feel I have all energies to fetch in this preparation ( given it’s my dream) but feeling unguided and clueless…can someone please suggest/guide the preparation plan and some good coaching institutes, am in Bangalore and I can attend any online batches as well if that’s the best given my location…

I don’t have any really enthusiastic and motivated friends who is preparing for UPSC rn…

Looking forward for genuine conversations and connections of friends who actually can match my wavelength of preparation and help each other out in this preparation without any distractions or deviations in this process please..

Please suggest some good reference materials and coaching institutes please …

If you are reading this, thanks for your time and effort…
