Help please!! How to change career at 40?

Hi all, I will be turning 40 next year and I desperately need to change career. I currently work in social care as a Senior Support worker and have done for the past 13 years. I honestly don’t know how I have managed it. The hours are long and you can generally be treated terribly by both your employer and the people you are supporting. I am finally at breaking point working 60 hour weeks to cover my staff plus spending 3 nights a week away from my family.

Unfortunately I didn’t make the most of my education, dropping out of a law degree because of a lack of interest and bad financial decisions in my youth leading to debt worries during my studies. So my only qualifications are Health & Social care based.

I tried bookkeeping during the pandemic and completed the access course but quite honestly I found it incredibly tedious and I don’t see a future career there.

This year I am thinking of taking the CeMAP course. So would like peoples thoughts on this if anyone has taken that path.

Any other careers that people can think of that don’t cost £1000’s to qualify for?

Thanks in advance.
