Media with plot details that carry unspoken implications

This is a random thought I had the other day, but the whole concept of 100 Girlfriends is one guy gets 100 true loves. But doesn't that mean 99 other people miss out on their true loves then because Rentaro gets them all?

Can any of you think of other examples of media which have details that carry implications it never attempts to address?
