Best passive speakers for vinyl that won't break the bank? (Under $700)

Hi, I'm trying to surprise my SO with a set of bookshelf speakers to replace a pair of very old Paradigms that are falling apart. I know very little about this kind of stuff, but have done enough research to decide on going for passive speakers that would pair well with our turntable. We already have a functional Parasound HCA-500 amp -- not sure if it's considered good or not but I figure we could always upgrade the amp at a later date. Any recommendations on speakers that ideally ship internationally (we're located outside of NA)? Even if you're not sure about the shipping part, would love to hear some ideas so that I can know what to look for. There's just way too much info online and I feel swamped... Appreciate your help!!
