why don't people like Scream 3?
I've been a fan of Scream since the original first came out but I've only been lurking on this sub since 5 was released.
I rank 3 as my second favourite in the series (after 1) but seeing all the polls, I've realised I'm very much in the minority!
I really enjoy it because I think it really balances the horror and comedy well (the first scene with Gale and Dewey on set absolutely cracks me up!), I love the location being on the Woodsboro set and I really like the establishing scene of Sidney working for a crisis helpline.
I also think for the final part in a trilogy, the character development was wrapped up nicely.
I'm very respectful of others opinions and appreciate not everyone will agree, I'm just curious why 3 seems to be so consistently hated!
Edit: just wanted to thank everyone for their input! I've always had a differing opinion to my friends in what I consider to be a "good" film, and the reasoning seems to be the same here: I generally take films at fave value and just judge them based on how much I was entertained while watching them. I hadn't thought about the fact there were more gun kills or that it didn't fit the flow of the others, I just think "yep, I had fun watching that therefore it's good!"
