Trains path signal bug

Hi pioneers,

I recently opened a ticket describing what I think is a pretty serious trains bug:

I am honestly pretty confused as this seems a pretty serious bug but I didn't find anything online even mentioning this.

Am I missing something or did I understand something wrong? Have you guys experienced something similar?
