Help!! What are the chances it's a false positive rapid test for HIV

Ok so I am new to this area. I am a 40 year old male divorced as of 2 years ago. I decided to get back out there. Around July 13 a Hispanic woman and I that had been talking decided to get down to business. We had multiple sessions that day and the last was without a condom. Well 10 days later she ghosted me and I couldn't figure out why. Then the panic started to set in about std. Since I didn't have to worry about them while I was married this was new to me. So on August 13 I got test for chlamydia,Gonorrhea,Herps And HIV ( the HIV was a vain tested one that was sent of to the lab.

Well all but the herps came back negative. I tested positive for hsv1 which according toy doctor is very normal and I could of had it before this partner.

Well if that was all the story would end there but it doesn't. So on September 8 I decided to try my first transgender experience (how exciting). Me and this person hooked up and protection was used the whole time but I did do top and bottom. When she finished I took the condom off and checked it and it did not break as well as the one I used was not broken (semen was still inside both condoms). Well a couple days after I couldn't get a call back from her. So once again I panicked. I went to a local clinic and decided to do a rapid test for HIV ( package said ab combo )on September 27 even tho I had condom on the whole time. After the longest 20 mins ofy life it came back negative.

Hold on here goes the scary part. Upon reading a bunch of threads I learned I might of done it to soon. So I go back to the same clinic today 0ct 23 (46 days after the possible exposure) And do another rapid test as well as chlamydia, and Gonorrhea. When the woman came out and told me the test was reactive my heart dropped. They immediately took blood and said there is a chance it is a false positive and they will send off my blood sample to be checked at a lab. It could take 5DAYS!!!! to come back.

So scared out of my mind I went to the local CVS and bought a oral HIV test kit and used it. The results were negative but I'm still scared.

Here goes the icing on the cake. My ex wife called me last week and we have been talking about getting our family back together.

So my question is what are the chances it's a false positive. Should I be worried if I used protection. I even went to get a complete blood panel done today just to ease my mind. Could I have tested to early with the one lady I went raw with.

Please any advice or insight would help.

Update 10/24/24!!!!!! So after a long night of not sleeping, I decided to go to another lab to see if I can get the test results sooner. Aunt come to find out after drawing the blood it's still going to take 2 to 3 days to find out. So googling my ass off I found a HIV specific clinic in my area that does free rapid testing of two different kind called made an appointment and got both tests done. The first was the insta rapid test which takes a minute and it came back NEGATIVE!!!!!!! The counselor asked me if I would like to take the more advance one that can detect HIV 2 weeks earlier but it would take 20 minutes and I agreed since it is free might as well just to have confirmation from two different tests and after talk to him for 20 minutes he looked at me and asked. Am I ready for this? IT IS ALSO NEGATIVE!!!! I let out a huge sigh of relief Aunt Ken sleep more soundly now because I know that that positive was just a false positive I'm still going to wait to hear from both of the lab test I had done but this just gives me some reassurance that it was just a fluke. I will update y'all on the findings of my test when that blood work comes back. Please if anybody else out there feels the way I feel please comment on this post talk to each other and find some comfort in knowing you're not alone. I will be checking this thread relatively frequently because I know in my time of need I didn't want to be alone so I don't want to to have anybody feel how I felt. We all deserve peace. We all deserve love. God bless. Talk to y'all later

Well the results came back this morning. The results were NEGATIVE!!!!!!! ( FAST TURN AROUND TIME RIGHT) And like I said in my previous update I will be leaving this post up checking it periodically for anybody who is lost worried scared or just needs a friendly ear to vent to this has been one of the most stressful times in my life and I know I'm not the only one who has had a scare like this. So feel free to comment on the post or even message me privately if you have questions. But as of now, I think I'm going to take a break from the world of swapping bodily fluids.
