Finally, my first No.1 rank in Google! SEO is frustrating and fun!
I created my brand new website around 2 months ago. It is a very small niche website.
Approximately two months ago, I launched my brand new website, focusing on a very niche market. In the first month, I created 7 webpages, with 6 successfully indexed. However, my all the rankings were around 30 to 50+ position.
To enhance my site's visibility and attract more visitors, I decided to incorporate a blog section and produce high-quality articles relevant to the niche. Given my solo efforts and full-time job, I aimed for 2 articles per month.
After a month of writing, the first article got indexed within two weeks and gradually climbed to around the 50th position. The second article, not initially targeting specific keywords, was an attempt to condense and elaborate on the content of the first article.
After multiple optimizations, my rankings showed no improvement. Frustrated, I considered resorting to guest posting for backlinks to boost authority and planned to write more niche-related content to increase topical authority.
However, I contracted COVID, forcing me out of commission for approximately 2 weeks. Upon recovering, I revisited the analytics and was astonished to find that the first article had surged from the 50+ position to No.1 spot, even securing the featured snippet!
It's unbelievable that my two-month-old, small website (with only eight indexed pages) and low Domain Rating (around 10 referring domains) managed to achieve this!
While I remain uncertain about what I did right or wrong, I am thrilled with the outcome and excited to continue experimenting with different strategies.
