Closing Question (Closing Is Tomorrow)

Question Answered, but leaving post up in case others have similar questions.

So, first of all let me preface this by saying this is in NJ, since I'm sure laws vary in each state.

I'm purchasing a property to be used as a primary residence, and the entire process has been very strange, from the listing having no other offers when I made mine right through the mortgage process etc.

Finally got the final mortgage documents today and forwarded them to my attorney. This morning my attorney finally set the location and time for the closing taking place tomorrow. However, they also informed me they were just told neither the seller nor the seller's attorney will be present at the closing.

So, I guess my question is, is that alright? Don't the documents need to be signed in person?

I don't know if it matters, but they have a mortgage still outstanding on the property, and as stated above we will as well. Apparently aside from their mortgage the title search was clear, but I haven't looked at it myself yet. I don't know anything really about real estate, but since this whole process for months now has been so strange and at times seemed a little sketchy, I just want to be sure it's okay that they aren't there in person putting their original signatures on things.
