23 hours vape free and vital signs are already improving

I'm a 41 year old female. I have been a registered nurse for 18 years. My nicotine addiction goes back to age 15. Being a nurse and understanding what nicotine can do has not been enough to make me stop.

I've been having some chest discomfort. Went to primary doc, went to cardiologist, have some test scheduled. Got a call yesterday that my cholesterol was dangerously high, especially for my age. I haven't touched my vape since that phone call (about 23 hours ago at this point).

It sucks. It sucks super bad. I go through an elf bar about every 3 or 4 days. I vape all day long. I love my vape and I feel like I've lost my best friend.

I'm light headed, I feel emotional (both sad and anger feelings), slightly irritable, and I keep phantom reaching for my vape, but I have to do this. I can do it and you can do it.

Being a nurse I really like to see health improvements. Look at the improvement in blood pressure and heart rate in less than 24 hours. My heart rate during the day is typically 85-105. Today it's 65! Incredible. It was some extra motivation that I needed today.

TL:DR - It's hard. It's really fucking hard. But we can do it and our bodies will be better for it.
