Is season 1 overrated?

Season 1 of Prison Break is often seen as the best, but it my personal opinion I see it as overrated. The main plot is interesting at first, but Michael's big plan relies way too much on his complicated tattoo and feels a bit unrealistic. Some episodes drag on, and when the big twists happen, they can seem pretty obvious, losing some of their shock value. Plus, while Michael is supposed to be the hero, his obsessive behavior can actually make it hard to root for him. The other characters aren’t developed well enough either charaters like T-bag or that black guy that told us where Linc the sink was. Sooo they often come across as one-dimensional.

All this makes you wonder if the season gets more praise because of nostalgia than for being a truly great show. On the other hand, Season 3 takes the story to a new level with its fresh setting in Sona, a brutal Panamanian prison. The stakes feel higher, and the tension is palpable from the start. With Michael and his crew trying to escape from a place filled with violence and chaos, the action is ramped up, creating a gripping atmosphere. Additionally, Season 3 introduces new characters that are more engaging, giving depth to the story. The plot twists and conflicts are less predictable, making it a more thrilling viewing experience overall. By breaking away from the repetitive escape storyline of the first two seasons, Season 3 really stands out as the most dynamic and exciting part of the series again in my personal opinion. I’m open to discussing this but I feel season 1 genuinely is overrated!
