Thoughts on monetizing the sculpts I made?
I live in the Philippines and have found that GW prices are way too high of a barrier of entry for people discovering the hobby through things like Space Marine 2. Thus, I sculpted my own Space Marine army.
These models are designed to be relatively simple and FDM-friendly. Each marine takes about an hour on my Ender 3 V2 Neo and can be batch-printed in 8s. Total cost to print a 500pt "starter army" would be around 4USD.
I haven't tried painting these things yet, and I never intended for them to be painted. By sacrificing detail, they're made much more economical. These are no way meant to be tournament-level pieces; just the starter kit that you'll eventually replace as you grow into the hobby.
While my ultimate objective is to make wargaming more accessible, selling my prints would make for a great way to keep this practical and help me afford printer upgrades (like the Bambulab P1S).
Thoughts?
PS: I own 5000 something points worth of GW Orkz, so I'm very familiar with 40k.
