Intro

I’ve started to chime in on posts, so I realized I should introduce myself. And it’s been almost exactly a year since I picked up my Sport Classic from Porsche Monterey after originally taking delivery at Zuffenhausen. So, yeah, it seemed like a good time for an intro and to show off Wasabik.

I’m a 30+ year Porsche owner and driver. I started with a 2.2 L 911S coupe in the early ‘90s (still in my ‘20s) and except for a couple of dismal years when I tried to like a luxury sport coupe, I’ve owned some form of 911 ever since. Including 4 993s (I have a Carrera 4 Cab now), a 996.2 4S Coupe, a 997.2 Targa 4S, a 991.1 GTS, a Macan GTS, a Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo (current daily), a 718 Boxster (wife’s daily), and our PTS Sport Classic. All that could be manual were manual (so, everything except the two 4-door cars).

I wasn’t raised with money, just worked hard and my biggest (and probably most financially irresponsible) elective spend has been on cars from Porsche. I’ve been reading everything about Porsche that I could get my hands on since I was about 13. So, yeah, I know a thing or two about the marque, and the history, and the family, and a number of models along the 911 product range. I haven’t done the math, but I’ve logged at least a couple hundred thousand miles behind the wheel of some Porsche or another.

Here’s the two 911s, Kermit (pts Conda Green) and Wasabi (pts Linden Green), the Boxster, and the Panamera.
