What kind of joint is this?

Customer has kitchen drain in apartment made of copper and then connects to a big cast iron T. Leaks is coming out right where the adapter is. Don’t wanna mess around with it because it might be lead and plum or something. Or is it typically just copper threaded into cast? If so, could I fix with a PVC fitting into cast then fernco into copper? Or how?
