This company was never great

This company was never great but boy has it gotten worst. I can't speak for other markets, but Georgia customers have left them in droves. You can barely find work on the app anymore. It use to be plentiful with various industries to work in.

I accepted a job today. One of those. "Hey...this job starts at 8am and it's 7:55am. We need someone there asap. How fast can you make it there? "

I haul ass out of bed, throw on some clothes, and blast out of the door. I'm en route in my vehicle in no time. Get a call from the branch.

Turns out the customer cancelled the job. Pretty common the last few years sad to say. Turns out they canceled after the start time for the job. I get show up pay. "Sweet!". I hang up. Then I remenber getting show up pay is like pulling teeth even when they offer it upfront. Here I am day two and counting waiting for $27.

From what I've heard; some crooked people in theses branches make show up pay hard to get so they can pocket it themselves. No proof just word of mouth. Judging by the caliber of workers in the multiple branches i've interacted with; it wouldn't surprise me a bit though.
