New Moderator Announcement: Rules & Changes!

Hello Fellow AWLs!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined as a moderator for r/pardonmytake. Considering that this sub has been basically unmoderated for almost two years, there's a lot of work to do. I will be adding one or two more moderators in the coming days.

What’s Changing?
Basically nothing. This subreddit has a great vibe, and I don’t plan to mess with that. However, I will be introducing some official rules to make sure we’re all on the same page. These are basic guidelines to keep things respectful and in line with sitewide rules.

Here are the initial rules:

  1. Keep It On Topic: Posts should relate to Pardon My Take or Barstool Sports in some way. Memes, news, and takes are all fair game.
  2. Don’t Be a Jerk: Healthy debates are encouraged, but don’t cross into harassment, slurs, or personal attacks. This includes overtly inflammatory comments about the PMT crew. Any excess negativity will be removed. Repeat offenders will be banned.
  3. No Spam or Self-Promotion: This isn’t an ad board. Promote your stuff sparingly and only if it’s genuinely relevant to the subreddit.
  4. No Politics: Self explanatory. There's a million places to discuss that on this website. No one wants to hear it.

The Mod Queue
As you can probably imagine, the mod queue is currently extremely long (over 1000 requests). Basically anything that's been reported for the last two years need to be reviewed. I’m working through it as quickly as possible, so thanks in advance for your patience while I catch up. If you dropped any slurs in that time, I'd recommend going back and deleting it now.

Going forward, any reports will be reviewed same-day. Please don't frivolously report stuff though. For example, calling Max fat does not necessitate a report.

Flairs

I added some new flairs and will continue to add them as they're suggested. Got a new flair idea? Let me know!
