AITH for breaking a child's toy?

(This is a joke post. Confused? Please see the comments)

Tl;dr I took my friend's children trick or treating and broke a toy. My friend apologized. She seemed to expect me to apologize in return but I did not. Was I TA?

I (40m) met my lady friend (42f) a few months ago. I will refer to her as not-Tammy for the purposes of this post. We had been seeing a lot of each other over the past months. I enjoy her company. She has two daughters who are loud and adorable. But mostly loud.

not-Tammy asked me if I and a fellow colleague would join her and her daughters for trick or treating this year. I didn't really want to say yes. Did I mention how loud her children are? But my work colleague accepted for both of us.

We were all dressed up in costumes - I was a pirate, which is a proper male adult costume. not-Tammy and both of her children were dressed as princesses. This will be important later.

Not too long after we started making our rounds not-Tammy was called away on an important work-related incident. She didn't want to interrupt the girls' halloween fun. I offered to watch the girls until her return.

Almost immediately the girls began to fight. I asked them what was going on and the youngest said the oldest broke her tiara. She was very upset that the oldest one still had her tiara but she didn't have one. They were screaming at each other.

I immediately rectified the situation by taking the tiara off the older one's head and breaking it in half. I explained that now neither had a tiara and that there was no longer any need to be upset.

For some strange reason they began screaming louder and even began to cry. Later that evening not-Tammy called and left a scathing message on my cellphone. It was also very loud.

A week went by before I saw her again. She came to a work event and apologized for her angry message. I graciously accepted her apology. She looked at me expectantly. When I did not immediately respond, she became angry once again and left the work event.

I don't think I did anything wrong but my work colleague - a different work colleague - said I should apologize. I don't feel I did anything wrong. AITA for breaking a child's toy?
