ps4 controller not recognized when trying to add it as a Bluetooth device

The title says it all.. I am trying to pair my ps4 controller to my pc, but it does not show up. it shows up when I connect it to a wire, and when I try to connect other Bluetooth devices it works fine. Am I missing something obvious?
