Gas Giants...
I'm probably gonna get down-voted through the planetary dig limit for this but like... am I the only one kinda disappointed with the gas giants?
DON'T GET ME WRONG
these things are damn cool, and I got a huge rush of excitement when I first laid eyes on my first, and was more or less enjoying the on-foot portion (gravity suckssss though)
but I guess my expectations were far higher than reality? when I saw they were adding gas giants I imagined massive volumetric clouds as far as the eye could see, using their new cloud system it would have been beyond words beautiful... and the surface could still exist, just far far below.
instead it was like... you get close and suddenly you're snapped to heavy fog with little to no transition (at least in my experience), and it's just this deep fog till you get down to the surface.
I guess I was just really hyped for them to do something like what you see in the background on Everspace 2's gas giant location (Devana Gas Orbit, Zarkov. I'll attach an image for reference), or the thing they had going on SC (I think they did, it's been a while)
but yeah.. any thoughts on it? am I alone in feeling this way about it? again, I'm blown away by this update and I'm not trying to make this about bashing the game or the devs.
