Diaper cream

I used to use SUDOCREM to treat baby's diaper rash, because of the zinc oxide in it, and then put another layer of Aquaphor as a barrier cream to prevent diaper rash. But I wonder if it's okay to just put AQUAPHOR, and skip SUDOCREM to help with the diaper rash as the bottle says "treat and prevent diaper rash"?
