Worse than normal lately?

So for the past couple weeks, my narc has been SO much worse than normal. I actually haven’t seen him act like this for a long time. Everything I do or say makes him irritable and it turns into him going off on me BAD. Saying the most hurtful things. Is there a reason why this is happening? I know it could be personal, but is this a thing that happens with them?

I just want things to get back to “normal” but it seems nothing I can do is right and he’s over me.
