Why trade for Fox?

I like Fox. But he’s likely at his prime already, 27 years old so not even on the same timeline as Wemby. If you added him to our current roster for free I still don’t think we’re anywhere near a serious contender. We’ve been through hell and back to get where we are and now just going to dump potentially hawks picks and other assets for what?

Also because the spurs FO is about the culture and don’t really screw over players in trades etc, we’re basically locking the next 4/5 years (until Wemby is 26) with Fox as the pg.. idk doesn’t feel worth it. I feel like a lot more players are going to come out saying their number one destination is to play with Wemby.

Lmk what yall think, definitely would be at a minimum fun to watch
