Where to get graphite early game

Okay so I just did the quest where I go into the breach and I'm left dissapointed. I didn't get any graphite. I need graphite to make steel bars. I just made three civil furnaces and now am waiting for the rest of the moisture farm quest but I need graphite to make steel bars.

What do I do? I read that the junkyard will have buses to break down for steel scrap but I've not unlocked that. So I feel stuck. I want to unlock farming but then stop the mainstory for awhile while I marry Owen and have a kid and then divorce him so I can do the Pen storyline before Logan. So I'm trying to be very careful about how far I get into the main story.

Can someone help give me some directions. I just want to be able to make steel bars and unlock farming. I need a graphite source. Thank you!
