Being sick

How do you guys handle being sick? Do employers understand? I think I'm going to retire because I can't handle it anymore. I've been sick the last week straight with no sign of getting better. Probably doesn't help that I just had my ocrevus infusion. Is everyone sick for extended periods? Is this normal?
