Why do millennials think it’s terrible y2k fashion is coming back

I was born in 1995 and identify more with millennials than gen z, and I see lots of videos of millennials talking about how disgusted they are that y2k fashion is coming back. So this baffles me a little because fashion trends repeat themselves, but why is this so terrible it's back in fashion? Personally I find some of the things cute and I like it because I already know how to wear it. And it's a bit nostalgic for me. So can someone help me understand why some people are disgusted?
