Can We Stop Saying Bill is a Conservative?
The Sununu interview showed that Bill's core principles haven't changed that much. He defended big government programs. He defended high corporate taxes. He said multiple times, in so many words, that the current GOP is an existential threat to the Republic.
Sure, he's become a bit of a grumpy old man. Sure, when it comes to cancel culture, gender theory, and other social issues, he shares a lot of opinions with people who are right of center. But that doesn't mean he's become a Republican. He's the same Hollywood liberal that he's been for the past thirty years.
I will concede, though - if he's guilty of anything, it's contrarianism.
