How do I know I'm not just dreaming about being lucid in a dream?
This probably sounds very stupid so let me elaborate lol.
From memory I have only been "lucid" 3 times so far, one time months ago, and twice a couple days ago. All of those times I didn't feel like I was in control and now I'm wondering if I was lucid at all. The second time I lucid dreamed (this was one of the dreams that occurred a couple days ago), I find out because of a trope in my dreams (that trope being that when I carry something it just straight up disappears from my hands, likely to do with my fear and habit of forgetting) but not from a reality check. I only "became lucid" from a reality check once, which was my first time "lucid dreaming". The third time I was "lucid" was because after the first one of that day I immediately went back to sleep right after and naturally remembered about the lucid dream which then carried over to the second.
That day when I went back to sleep after "being lucid" and "becoming lucid" again I could hear my family talking in the kitchen (in real-life) while I was in the second dream, so now that I think about it maybe I was lucid? That dream was unrelated to my family. The first dream of that day I tried to fly after telling my friends I was in a dream and I couldn't, so then one of my friends made my fly directly up into the air (somehow) just below the trees and I came back down safely , which is leading me to believe that I wasn't lucid, because if I was wouldn't I be able to do that on my own?
Sorry if my explanation was too confusing or if this is an incredibly basic and easy to answer question, but I'm new and don't really know how a lucid dream should feel. Thanks.
