Eye care vet recommendations for senior dog?

My senior dog is losing his sight and has developed a spot on one of his eyes. I’ve taken him to two different vets and they have both provided antibiotic eye drops, but they really have not been able to provide a specific diagnosis. Does anyone have any personal experience/ recommendations with a vet that specializes in eye care here in or around Louisville? Thanks!
