Buff durations across grindstones, fable arts, and items
I couldn't find any information on this stuff, so I spent some time testing to refine my build and thought I'd share my results.
Basically, I like buff builds but was underwhelmed how long my buffs lasted even with full organ investment. Here's the breakdown of several tested variables.
Almost all fable buffs (PoH grind, rock drill grind, shovel extend) have a base duration of 15 seconds. Each salt node gives you +2.5 seconds.
Salamander Dagger's ignite lasts 25 seconds base, but still only receives +2.5 from each salt. I'm assuming this duration is shared by the other advance weapons (acid glaive, mjollnir. maybe others)
All grindstones (well, only tested 3) have a base duration of 40 seconds, with each salt node giving +5 seconds
Weapon Abrasives have a base duration of 30 seconds, and with a salt they go all the way up to 60. I wish I could take this upgrade more than once, its by miles the most efficient.
Electric Circular Saw's electric attack lasts 10 seconds after a melee hit, refreshing on hit and stacking several times.
I just dropped a couple respecs to figure this out, in the end im just grabbing the consume effect duration for the 1 point investment and skipping the rest until i have salt to burn. I'm in NG+ and can get 2 fable art durations, 2 grindstone increases, and 1 consume increase if I go full in, there might be more that opens up in later NG+ runs.
The fable art buffs are usually the strongest so this is kinda annoying. You're still limited to prebuffing before a burst window whether you're at 15 or 20 seconds, you cant really set it and forget it like you can an abrasive.
PoH has a long crit buff animation, almost 2 seconds, so trying to refresh that constantly will get you in danger. The drill, on the other hand, is pretty much instant! Same with Shovel and salamder actually, maybe PoH is just bad :\
Edit: Coil Mjollner is in the 15 second category, not the 25 with Salamander blade
