Failed because of a show me : tell me question 😫

Just had my first driving test and was doing okay until the test guy asked me to show him the rear demister. My instructor has only shown me once and instead of saying “I don't know”, I stared at where I thought it was and slight lost control of my driving. I am so annoyed at myself 😫
