Should I just give up on manual and learn automatic?
I 25F made the mistake of putting off driving lessons when I was younger. Mainly bc I would have needed to self-finance and it felt like a lot of money at the time.
Since 2021 I've been learning on and off. I've had 3 different instructors BC I keep interrupting lessons and by the time I can come back to it after our schedules no longer align. I keep being close to test ready before something gets in the way.
Now I'm in a situation where I work two jobs, I work 6 days a week and work late most days. When I'm not working I need to be studying for my exams (professional qualification).
Aside from having limited time, I'm also an anxious driver. It wasn't an issue at first but has become a thing as I get older. I feel as though I need extra lessons to be test ready but to also feel safe and confident on the road in general.
So it seems like automatic would be ideal BC
1) it would require less of a time requirement to practice before I sit my test and the test would be easier to pass
2) I would have fewer things to worry about and can just focus on my environmental awareness and safety which seems helpful for an anxious driver
So considering my time and anxiety issues, should I just switch to learning automatic?
