What the fuck is happening to Blount and Henley?
What should be a prime spot for mixed-use urban development has become nothing but human storage. Zero retail or pedestrian throughways or public common areas (it's right next to a rail line, the river and Kerns for fuck's sake). All of the renders of the apartments for One Riverwalk and now the Davy at least made passing nods to retail but now we're presented with apartments from floor-to-roof. Who is in charge of this city? What is the point of living in an urban area if you have to drive to everything? I've been all over the country and this is nearly the most egregious and anti-social development I've ever seen. Knoxville needs to step its game up. It's becoming less livable despite our fortunate setting and climate.
