Delivery Guy was a Menace.

My (22F) mum ordered two large fabric softeners online. The delivery guy called while we were out of town, and my mum asked him to leave it with our neighbor, who’s familiar with our deliveries. Later, he called back for the OTP, claiming he’d handed it over. When I went to retrieve it, our neighbor denied receiving it and mentioned the delivery guy had been rude, cursing at her when she suggested leaving it with her because my mum did not pick up the call when he called the first time.

Mum called him, and he cursed at her. She retaliated, and we filed complaints with Amazon and the courier platform. When we called courier branch, the same guy pretended to be an executive, mocking us. Mum told me to hang up, calling him a scumbag, and he kept calling back, demanding she repeat it, to which she told him to get lost.

Today, the delivery guy came with the package while we were sitting outside. He stared aggressively at my mum, who asked, “What’s your problem?” My brother also questioned him, and he replied with “enth?” in a rude tone. He then glared at me and muttered to my mum, “athinode poyi para…” and more. When the neighbors came out, my mum loudly called him “the scumbag” who argued with her yesterday. Some chettanmar passed by, and the guy didn’t respond, leaving quickly.

We tried contacting customer care again but couldn’t reach them. The guy could have simply refused to deliver or skipped asking for the OTP yesterday but chose to act like a “scum” because, as he said, my mum didn’t answer his first call.
